The staff at the Overtime School of Wrestling is excited to announce plans for a second training facility in Crystal Lake, Illinois, that is scheduled to open in the fall of 2008 and will offer year-round training.
In response to longstanding demand and a combination of the right opportunity, timing, and preparation, the ideal circumstances are present to create an additional training site that will share the same high quality programming, instruction, and state-of-the-art facilities that will better serve the greater Chicagoland area. A custom, specially designed 2,300 square foot wrestling room will operate within the relocated and expanded Curran Martial Arts Academy in Crystal Lake.
The new location allows the chance to promote and further develop the sport of wrestling in the state of Illinois by increasing training tools, creating jobs, and retaining coaching talent. A second Overtime site will offer supplementary training to a wider audience so that more wrestlers can reach their ultimate best in the sport.
Although the programs and staff in Naperville will not change, additional jobs in coaching and administration will be created with a second site. It is vitally important to retain our coaching talent by creating jobs in the sport, since a lot of athletes leave the field for lack of viable employment opportunities or pursue jobs available in competing states. This is a key way to continue building and providing expertise in wrestling for our Illinois athletes.
The Overtime School of Wrestling features an accomplished staff with in-depth coaching and training experience for all age levels and in all styles of wrestling. Our proven, successful training system has been developed and refined over our eight years in operation.
